I really like this piece. 
I never saw the Rockit video, so I don't know how much of the scene you've recreated here, but the linework is very good. Gutsy, its a great tribute to the original Gorillaz artwork. The colorwork is spectacular! What media did you use? It looks like color pencil but the blending and color mixing you have here is working so well it almost couldn't be! Also, you chose to color in different directions for fabrics, hair and skin and its a great touch.
